In January, Miss Lemons' first grade class started the process of becoming published authors! They brainstormed, researched, wrote rough drafts, revised the drafts, and made illustrations. They sent it back to the company, and the book was published!
Miss Lemons was able to raise enough money to purchase a book for every student in the class! A big shout out to all of the boys and girls on their hard work, this book is amazing!

Just a few pictures of some of the super heroes who visited South School on Friday!

South School Music and Art Appreciation
Over the past few weeks Mrs. Boren, the South School music teacher, has been introducing the Kindergarten - Second grade students to 'Picture the Music' a music and art themed activity in conjunction with the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra. The students listened to music and then painted what they thought the music would look like. The PHS Art Club then judged the artwork and chose 2 Kindergarten, 2 First Grade, and 3 Second Grade pieces to send in to the competition. Congratulations to the artists!
