The PHS jazz band will be performing on the west side of the courthouse Friday, May 5th at 12:00 (weather permitting). Grab your lunch, bring a lawn chair, and come enjoy some great jazz music!

The Lady Saukees beat Liberty tonight 19 to 1. Freshmen Torie Stambaugh led the Lady Saukees, going 2 for 3 from the plate with 5 RBI's. Torie added her FIRST HOMERUN as a Lady Saukee, sending a shot to center field. Congratulations!

Pikeland conducted an Evacuation/Reunification Drill on Friday, April 21, 2023. Fifth grade students and their teachers evacuated the PCS building for a "mock" water main break. Fifth grade parents volunteered to "test" the reunification plan. Trained volunteers from the community, city employees and area law enforcement, along with district staff assisted in the reunification steps needed to connect a 5th grader with his or her parent. The community-school partnership was clearly present Friday afternoon! Thank you to all who contributed to this safety training!

The Lady Saukees played two softball games on Saturday, April 15th. They lost to Triopia 2-0 and came back to beat Unity 9 to 7. Grace Henry hit two dingers in the second game. That makes 10 homeruns on the season for her.

Kelsey Freesmeyer hit two home runs on Friday, April 7th in the Lady Saukees win over Jacksonville. These are the first two home runs of Kelsey's career as a Lady Saukee.
This morning, students from Spanish 3 at PHS visited the Pikeland Preschool students! The preschoolers participated in activities that included learning the Spanish words for colors, numbers, and animals. The Spanish 3 students will be visiting multiple times throughout the rest of the school year!
